Situation
The client operates a major global satellite communications network. Customer system provision solutions are numerous, and these have been subject to successive technology refresh projects, which have created accumulative asset data quality issues.
Task
The client commissioned a network wide asset inventory update project. This required precision co-ordination of objectives and the development of consistent data capture methodologies. There was a requirement to design and create an appropriate database tasked with future management of the updated data assets.
Results
The development of a single, centrally managed system for managing all equipment assets in the global network. At a glance capacity management facilities for customer sales and operational interpretation and decision making. Manual analytic efficiencies with the elimination of multiple, often out of date, legacy data repositories.
